If any of you have heard a rumor..
Chances are, the rumor is correct. I have decided to go on a mission. So before yesterday I had a pretty clear plan of how the next 2 years were gonna plan out. I was going to wait for Richard to get back from his mission, finish my degree, and then find a job to support Richard, after he got back, with school. BUT, I guess God had different plans for me. I had a really strong prompting from the spirit at church yesterday that I was supposed to pray about going on a mission. Every talk, song, and comment in Sacrament meeting was pertaining to this, and I felt the Spirit so strongly guiding me to this decision. I have decided not to come back to school for winter semester, but to finish after I get back. It feels weird and exciting at the same time to know that I will be going. My plan is to put my papers in in November or December. So... that is that. Richard already told me he'd wait for me to get back so that is comforting. But yeah, that is the rumor, and that's what is going to happen very shortly in my life.

Conference Weekend
This weekend was a lot of fun. Two of my roommates went to Utah for the weekend. Sarah went Home because she was the maid of honor for her friend Cali. Emily went with some friends and got into all 4 sessions of conference. I'm totally jealous. So Lerin and I were home all weekend alone. I made chicken fingers and honey mustard and minestrone and (my favorite) Spice Cake!! Here are some pics

we also decided to have a bubble blowing contest...I didn't do that well. This was the only good picture I got!

oh also, if you want to know what Richard is up to, I made a blog for him. Its called Fishers of Men and it should be in the side bar --------------------------->
In other news, it snowed almost all day today! I would normally think this is pretty cool and a good chance for hot chocolate, but its supposed to be fall! My fall was taken from me and I'm not happy....(fall is my favorite season)
so yes, I hope you all have a splendid week..I hope mine is good too. Toodles!

First week back
Let me tell you, this week has been pretty eventful! So on Monday I got a ride with my friend from Arizona to Rexburg. While we were in between Cedar City and Beaver the van's fuel pump died. So the van's engine just stopped working and we were stranded. A very very nice lady stopped to help us. She drove us to beaver where we found a place that could fix it. If you ever have car troubles in Beaver I would highly recommend going to the triple A place there. The people were so nice and got us going only in 4 hours. So we left Beaver and headed to Provo to stop for gas. About 20 miles outside of Provo the traffic was all stop and go and it was horrible! It took is an hour to go 15 miles. So then we stopped in Provo and got a little lost but found our way to Taco Bell and then to the freeway. I saw our old neighborhood and toys R us. Then we headed off to Rexburg and got there at 10:30 at night. The next couple of days we mostly unpacked our stuff and got settled in to the apartment. On Thursday was the first day of school and I had my french class. I'm pretty sure that it will be an easy A. That will be nice for a change! Then Friday I had my two hardest classes: Thermodynamics and Machine Design. I'm pretty sure if I just keep up with the reading and homework that I can do well in those classes. I'm looking forward to learning a lot this semester!

Anime Vegas
So yesterday I went to an Anime Convention. This is actually the second time that I have gone to one of these, and I had a really good time. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a hardcore anime fan, but I do love anything from Hayao Miyazaki (the writer/director of My Neighbor Totoro,
Howl's Moving Castle

and Spirited Away),

not to mention Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist and Code Geass. But those are basically the only ones I've seen. I went because Richard took me last year and this year his younger sister Emily wanted to go.
I made her Princess Zelda Costume and I went as Princess Peach.

It is way more fun to go to one of these things dressed up because you don't feel left out (which I did last year), and everyone wants to take your picture. I saw Mario, so I had to get a picture with him,

and we also saw a boy dressed as Link so we got a picture of him with Emily.

All in all it was a really good time and I discovered that I like Japanese Rock. I'm definitely going next year!

We miss you Manticore
Our cat died today. We aren't sure how old he was but the other day he stopped eating and he couldn't walk. We left him in the bathroom and he died this morning. I'm glad he isn't in pain anymore and that his death wasn't long or drawn out. My fondest memories of him were when he would sit in the sink. He also stole by brothers sandwich once and a slice of pizza another time. He wasn't my favorite cat but he was a good pet. Rest in peace Manticore.

Every Superhero Needs an Alter Ego
Meet Kayleigh McArthur, an unassuming librarian who loves reading books to kids at story time. She lives in a small apartment in Manhattan with her lovable beagle Fred. Her life is almost like a fairytale except at night she fights crime as (insert superhero here).
Now that you've met Kayleigh I hope you don't really think that I cut my hair this short. (She is an alter ego and therefore looks different than the real me)
I straightened my hair for Anime Vegas, an anime convention that I am going to tomorrow with Richard's sisters, and I am dressing up as Princess Peach. Here's the real hair, and it is a bit shorter than before, I cut it about a week ago.
I'll have pics up soon of what I looked like as Peach.
Til next time, Up, Up and Away!
