I love the weekend, but why is it that weekends go by so quickly? I think it is because I dread the weekday and the schoolwork it brings.
Anyway, this weekend has been pretty fun! First, yesterday I went to Broadway Revue with Sarah. Broadway Revue is a show where students perform pieces from their favorite musical. Emily was in it and she sang "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors. I thought she di an amazing job! There was another performance that I really liked too. 2 guys sang a song from the Secret Garden called Lily's Eyes. It was sooooo amazing!!! I cried. I always cry when I hear awesome music (I'm a baby I know). The whole show was very good!
Then today I had the first Enrichment of the semester. If you hadn't heard I'm the enrichment counselor in the Relief Society so I help plan the enrichment activities. I had a really fun time and I hope that all of the other girls did too! I love getting to know new people.
For dinner today I was trying to figure out what I could make with leftover rice. (I made too much rice with my stirfry.) I looked through some cookbooks and decided to make meatballs. I have never made meatballs before so it was an adventure. How do you usually make them mom? I vaguely remember you putting them in the oven. Anyway, they were really good! I was pleasantly surprised :)
Oh yeah, I'm gonna be the only one of my roommates that will be home President's Day Weekend. It will be extremely boring. Hopefully I can get tons of homework done.
PS - School is going pretty good!

SNOW!
Oh man, it has been snowing non-stop for the past 2 days. Don't get me wrong, snow is fun to play in, but walking in it isn't very fun. Especially when your boots aren't water proof. Mom, I bet you wish you were here in the snow, and I wish you were here too.
Maybe now I can build a snowman and have it actually work!
So yesterday, aside from snow, I went to the Barbershop Festival here at BYU-I. Emily was in it again with the women's choir and also with her student quartet. They did such a good job!! There might be a link later on to her quartet singing.
School is really busy still. I have a couple classes that are keeping me on my toes, but I hope I can wing straight A's this semester. So far I am doing well. I still work at the reading center in the library and it is so fun! I tutor international students with English mostly. I have 2 Korean students, a Japanese student and a Brazilian student as well. (Go Portuguese!) They are really fun to talk to. It is hard for me to correct them sometimes because I don't want them to feel bad about themselves, but they are there to get better so I need to remember to do that more often. It is so funny, every time I tell a student that I'm from Las Vegas they think it is so cool. Most of the international students that I work with have been there too!
I'm excited for dinner tonight. I'm making homemade pizza!

One Crazy Day
I'm so glad that I didn't have school today!
So, this morning I got up early to do some physics homework. I did a couple problems, and then realized that I didn't really understand how to do all of the homework. I guess I'll have to go to the physics tutoring center tomorrow night.
After a couple hours of homework, I started feeling really sick. I felt like I was going to throw up and nothing I did would make it go away. Eventually I decided to drink some water and eat some toast (because I hadn't eaten all day) and I felt better. Needless to say, I read 4 chapters of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when I was feeling sick.
After I felt pretty well again, Emily and I went to Idaho Falls to buy new pants. My absolute favorite pants had gotten holes in them so I needed some more. Wet Seal at the mall was having a really good sale so I bought a pair of jeans for 15 bucks. I got 2 more pants at Old Navy for 32 dollars :) Then, I saw something I absolutely HAD to have. (A few of you know that I have a luchador mask that Richard gave me. I have wanted a whole luchador costume ever since, but couldnt find anything for it. Well the mask is silver, pink, and purple.) Right in front of me as I walked into Wet Seal were these metallic silver stretchy pants!!!! And, the best news of all, they were only 5 dollars! Sweet deal. I am one article of clothing closer to my luchador costume. Now all I need is a hot pink one piece swimming suit with sequins and a silver cape. If anyone knows where to get either of these it
ems, please tell me!

I love Sundays
Sundays really are the best day of the week. Today it seemed like everything in church was talking to me. I realized how much I need to work on this week.
Also, when I was walking home, I walked through the fishbowl in the snow building. While I was walking down the stairs, there was a boy playing "I need thee every hour" on his trumpet. I don't really know how to describe the experience. Words can't really describe it. The fishbowl echoed the music and it felt like the music was literally inside of me. It felt like the music was communicating to my spirit. I couldn't help but start to cry. It was amazing! I wish you could have been there.
So anyway, Sundays are the best :)

First Week of School Behind Me!
So, my first week of school is now behind me and I am getting into the swing of things! I like my Material Science class (It reminds me a lot of chemistry :) ) My physics class is alright, but it is very work intensive. New Testament is very fun and I'm learning lots of stuff I didn't know before about the New Testament.
My new roommates are really nice and we get along really well. One of them is engaged so it is kind of like we are roomates to her fiance too since he is here so much.
Yesterday Emily and I went and tried to make a snowman. It was fun trying, but it was night time and the snow was too frozen. We also tried to sled down a hill in a pot (which was going to be the snowman's hat) but that didn't work out too well. All in all it was pretty fun!

This is me after trying to sled down the hill. I was laughing pretty hard!
